Thursday December 12, 2013 – SMAC Holiday Party 2013, sponsored by Resolution Media, Big Fuel, & Plyfe

Friday Nov 1, 2013 – SMAC Webinar- Brand Storytelling through Influencer Content
SMAC hosted their first Webinar kicking off it’s new Social Media Webinar Series featuring some of the top influencers in social media. SMAC’s first webinar featured Scott Monty from Ford Motors, and Renee Entinghe from Glidden Paint/PPG. It was moderated by Kevin Green from Digital Influence Group. Attendees discovered real-world brand examples, actionable takeaways, and interactive discussions around brand Storytelling and how influencers have the power to captivate and inspire consumers and drive consideration.
October 15th, 2013 – SMAC’s Social Week ’13 Breakfast & Panel, sponsored by Crowdtap & Pivot
SMAC hosted a Breakfast Panel on Social Influence 2.0, amidst the busy Social Week NYC. The theme of the discussion was to explore how brands supercharge their influence strategies to truly drive the conversation. Moderated by Gemma Craven of Social@Ogilvy, and featured Brandon Evans, of Crowdtap, Rebecca Lieb of The Altimeter Group, Gregg Weiss of MasterCard Worldwide and Alex Piccicano of Trident — attendees started their days off on a great note.
May 22nd, 2013 – SMAC’s Internet Week ’13 Breakfast & Panel, sponsored by Oracle, GE & Pivot
SMAC hosted their Internet Week ’13 Breakfast & Panel at Tribeca Grand Hotel. The event featured a delicious breakfast buffet along with an engaging panel, discussing the effect of social media on organizational structure and hiring. The panel was moderated by Sharon Feder of Mashable, and featured Linda Boff of GE, Erika Brookes of Oracle and James Andrews of Social People. After the panel, guests networked and mingled while enjoying food and drinks.
March 10th, 2013 – 3rd Annual SMAC Brunch at SXSW ’13, sponsored by Oracle & Curalate
SMAC hosted their 3rd Annual SMAC Brunch during SXSW at Malaga Tapas & Bar. The brunch featured a delicious breakfast buffet along with an engaging panel, discussing the impact of the visual web. The panel featured Apu Gupta of Curalate, Kendra Bracken-Ferguson of Digital Brand Architects, Chris Hackney of Oracle and was moderated by Nichole Goodyear, the Executive Director of SMAC. After the panel, guests networked and mingled while enjoying food and drinks.

SMAC hosted their annual panel and holiday party at Apella Event Space. The panel focused on the evolving social media space, the year of M&A and consolidation, and what lies ahead in 2013. The panel featured Sharon Feder of Mashable, Joe Burton of Social Chorus, Jason Jercinovic of Havas Worldwide and was moderated by Nichole Goodyear, the Executive Director of SMAC. Following the panel, a networking holiday party took place, with delicious food and drinks.
October 16, 2012 – SMAC Innovation Series NY sponsored by GE, Resolution Media, Big Fuel & Pivot Con.
SMAC hosted the next Innovation Series event during NY Social Week ’12 at the Crown Plaza in Times Square. The breakfast and panel focused on paid, owned and earned media with social at it’s core. The amazing panel featured Kate DuBois of Resolution Media, Jon Lombardo of GE, Avi Savar of Big Fuel and was moderated by Nichole Goodyear, the Executive Director of SMAC.
June 26, 2012 – SMAC Innovation Series LA sponsored by Skyword, Weber Shandwick, Tongal & What’s Trending.
SMAC hosted its first event of their Innovation Series in Los Angeles, CA on the rooftop of the What’s Trending studio. It featured a fabulous panel on content marketing with Tom Gerace, Skyword, Chris Perry, Weber Shandwick, Mark Burrell, Tongal, Shira Lazar, What’s Trending, Dave Barthmuss, General Motors and was moderated by our Executive Director, Nichole Goodyear. The event was a huge success as everyone enjoyed the panel, networking and the beautiful evening view of the Hollywood hills.
May 16, 2012 – SMAC Internet Week Breakfast sponsored by Extole, Vitrue, PivotCon & Skyword
SMAC hosted its Internet Week Breakfast at Friend of a Farmer. It featured an amazing panel on the rise of Influencer Relationships with fantastic panelists: Brad Klaus, Extole, Reggie Bradford, Vitrue, Marcy Cohen, Mastercard, Karen Ronbinowitz, DBA and moderated by our Executive Director, Nichole Goodyear The food was outstanding, and it was wonderful networking and mingling.

December 8, 2011 – Holiday Party sponsored by Meebo, Tagged and PepsiCo Beverages
On December 8th, SMAC, Meebo, Tagged and PepsiCo Beverages sponsored the annual holiday party with an expert panel moderated by Ad Age talking about the year-in-review , what’s ahead in 2012 which was followed by a holiday networking party. We celebrated the success the Social Media advertising industry has experienced in 2011. Still in the early stages of growth, social media advertising, community building and influencer marketing have made huge impact for brands in 2011. Holiday party feature food, drinks, music and a Toy’s For Tot’s drive.
October 6, 2011 – Connected hosted by GE & Vitrue
GE, Vitrue together with SMAC hosted the preview screening of Tiffany Schlain’s award winning film, Connected. The purpose of the event was to connect brand teams and emerging technologies in an evening of networking. Attendees were from leading brands, agencies and social media influencers. Remarks were made by Weber Shandwick’s Stephanie Agresta and there was a Skype Q&A with Tiffany Shlain.
September 13, 2011 – On A Boat sponsored by Pepsi, Foursquare, Weber Shandwick & Pandora
PepsiCo, Foursquare, Weber Shandwick and Pandora along with SMAC, hosted the boat event to connecting almost 300 brands, agencies, emerging tech companies and social media industry partners in an evening of networking and a special check-in at the Pepsi Cola sign while on a boat touring the Hudson.
